Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis

Chiqui: "Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is the longest word. According to Wikipedia"
Bons: "Anong ibig sabihin niyan!!!!?" (What does that mean!!!?)
Chie: "Something to do with the respiratory system that is caused by ultra microscopic silicon stuff that come from volcanoes. I guess."

Hinanap ni Chie sa Wikipedia. (Chie looked for it in Wikipedia)

Chie: "See, I'm right! According to Wiki, Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis succeeded electrophotomicrographically as the longest word in the English language recognized by the National Puzzlers' League at the opening session of the organization's 103d semi-annual meeting held yesterday at the Hotel New Yorker. The puzzlers explained that the forty-five-letter word is the name of a special form of silicosis caused by ultra-microscopic particles of silica volcanic dust."

After a few lines...

Chie:"Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhe
nuakitanatahu. At 85 letters, it has been listed in the Guinness Book of Records as one of the longest place names in the world."
Bons:
(Tahimik)
Bons: "Game! Contest tayo! Kung sino man ang makakabigkas niyan ng walang hingahan ililibre ko sa Spiral!"
(I will treat whoever can pronounce that word without breathing at all at Spiral Restaurant!)
Chie and Chiqui:
(Nagpractice).

I have the craziest friends.

Felix (Sushal Dining)

Felix is located at the 28th floor of The Peninsula Hong Kong. The 5 star dining experience will definitely give you a first impression that they mean serious sushal dining just by riding the private lift from the Hotel lobby to the restaurant where the lights will get dimmer as you reach the 28th floor. It has been voted as the Best restaurant in Asia and is included in the Top 50 Best Restaurants in the World according to the Restaurant magazine.

The stairs will lead you to the bar where guests will have a fantastic view of Hong Kong. Of course I went there but was not able to take a photo. I was so shy. The sheer drape just gives every visitor the "wow" impression.

The place was designed by Philippe Starck who is is a well-known French Product designer and probably the best known designer in the New Design style. I was amazed on how the walls were designed that will just make you speechless. Perfect lighting, perfect texture and wonderful material.

Each seat has a cotton cover with the printed faces of past chefs and managers of the place.

If you have this kind of view, it will indeed make your stay a memorable one right?

Let's talk about the food.

For appetizer I had, Julienned potatoes with fresh Wagyu beef.

I finished the whole thing without saying a word. It was served with sweet white wine, which by far the best wine I've tasted. I have the cork and the label at the flat.

For main course, I had Lamb Chops with mint leaves (I think). The meat was tender and succulent. But I'm not really a fan of mint in dishes. It was good though.

This was served with Red wine which was a bit too strong for me. :)

I would die right now if somebody could give me a piece of lemon squares. I am a fan of lemon squares and cheesecake (forget brownies and chocolate cakes). So infusing these two would be heaven!

For dessert I had citrus cheesecake and it was the perfect combination of my happy food :)

It was served with Häagen-Dazs Vanilla Ice cream or was it Ben and Jerry's?. Anyway I finished the whole thing without blinking!

I cannot say that the 200 USD meal was worth it because let's face it, that's too expensive for Filipinos. But I can say that the experience was one of a kind. Thanks to my good friends, James and John for this one of a kind birthday gift :) I really appreciate it.

And yes, all the tables were made of REAL MARBLE and the glasses were made of REAL CRYSTALS.

Felix is very avant-garde so to speak so you can't wear flops or whatever.

For reservations, please see below.

The Peninsula Hotel
28/F, Salisbury Rd.
Hong Kong, China

You can ride the MTR and take off at the Tsim Sha Tsui Station. I think The Peninsula Exit is E.

Im a lil frustrated

I'm emotionally, physically and intellectually tired of all the shit happening around.

I was told that I should be a force of nature and that I shouldn't give up at all.

If people deliberately piss you off...
If people demand you to do something for them...
If people become so insensitive of how you feel..
If you feel that you are against the world and you are racing against time what will you do?

I am aware that a lot of people here and abroad love me for who I am. They care for me and are willing to fight for me if all else fails.

I am also aware that I have haters who continuously lambast me, my personality and my background to gratify themselves. They find self gratification for doing such vicious things.

It's not easy. This is not a blog entry to point out who you are because God knows I can see your paw prints here and in my blog. I know who are viewing me and I know you are following me.

I may be sarcastic but I am a woman of kind heart. I am nice as most of my friends would say. I may say a lot of things but I know the repercussions of such and I know how to face those head on. What I just really hate is the idea that there are some pathetic creatures who will deliberately back bite you and lambast you especially when they know you can't do anything because you are far away from them.

I am not stupid and I will not stoop down to your level just to save my ass. I seldom get angry but when I do you must back off.

Some of you might think that I'm lucky that I have a wonderful family, a loving boyfriend, a good job, nice friends (a lot of them) and what have you. To be perfectly honest, it's not really easy to be me.

This morning I had a good chat with my friend, Dude and I am so happy for him :) He's engaged already and he has been my best STRAIGHT guy friend since Sophomore year in High School. I love him and I treasure him and I am so happy for him.

Talking to him made me forget some issues I have with this girl whom by far is my worst hater EVER. Pathetic.

I'm just a lil frustrated because even how hard you try to make your life as serene as possible, people will try their best to ruin it for you.

I have been going through a lot lately and the last thing I need is somebody lambasting me especially now that I cannot do anything about it YET.

Whoops, I saw Prince William's tooooooot

The first blog that I visit when I have time is my BFF's. Mike posted the same thing that I will be posting here.

To be perfectly honest with you guys, I never ever fancied Prince William because I don't find him THAT appealing. High standards much? But whatever, I like gossips just like some other people do in the office. (Somebody said that I am an Idiot. That ungrateful B and imbecile. Hey girl, your grades may be higher compared to my grades in College but you might want to check both my IQ and EQ levels. Because the last time I checked, there is something terribly wrong about you.) Taray much?

Anyway back to Prince. Saw these photos and I was not really shocked. :P I knew from the very beginning why I didn't like him at all. Assuming that these photos are real. hehe.

Grabbed the photos from Mike. If you wanna see the real thing, click here.

Hope I made your day bitches.

Love love,
Me!

Macau. :) Oh Macau

Macau is a small country but I would want to go there whenever I can.

Went there to watch Chris Brown's concert , to eat Portuguese food and to take nice fasyon photos..

We had fun. Pretty obvious with the pictures right? Too bad Chie was in Shanghai.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It's Monday. It's Early.

And I am already PISSED!

1.) Never never wake me up by just banging in the door and shout my name. Never mess up with me while I'm sleeping. You can just wake me up by merely calling my name or tapping my arm. That way I would still wake up.

2.) HK headquarters implemented a policy stating that employees shouldn't listen to Music while working. Just by reading the email I already GOT PISSED!

a.) There are people who devise ways how to be more efficient and effective while working. And listening to music is one of the ways for me not get so sleepy while working. Listening to music is not tantamout to you being lazy or being ineffective. THAT IS BS. Back in College I couldn't study without my earphones tucked in my ears. If the people here are that boring and could stand 8 hours or so of work without listening to any song I don't give a damn. I don't even give a shit! (I couldn't work that way). Of course, my Manila colleagues reacted to this rule so I'm not singled out. Gademit

b.) Before implementing such policy the management should have at least studied the status quo and ask WHAT IS INHERENTLY WRONG WITH PEOPLE LISTENING TO MUSIC WHILE WORKING. Is it that grave for you not to allow it? You know, listening to music is a right and if the people give you the deliverables on time, Don't be too STRICT. Gademit.

Obvious ba na apektado ako?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

On the other note. I received my first birthday gift this year. It's a new Nikon DSLR camera. Will post my first test shots :) Will post more about this later. Inis pa ako.

ECSTATIC

I will be watching Chris Brown tonight at The Venetian.

We just planned the whole thing this week. The last time I was in Macau was last February but wasn't able to visit Colane Island. This time Allan and I will go there. Chie won't be able to come with us because she's going to Shanghai to watch the Arashi concert. Should have I known that there's a 10 hour train ride from HK to Shanghai for only less than 5000 pesos, I could've gone with her. I want to visit Shanghai for the longest time.

Yay!

Macau Grand Prix is also ongoing. We'll try our best to grab some tickets for tomorrow's event. :)

Wish us luck :)

Usapang etits

Ergo. masyadong maliit siguro.

Yun lang.

Fasyon Update

I haven't checked the The Sartorialist website in ages. I missed a lot.

As usual I'm envious with the stuff that they're wearing.

Syempre, I would include myself no.

Iraq

I promised myself to never marry a military officer. Just because I don't want my husband to be far from me and be sent to war zone areas. I'm afraid that he'll get killed while I am pregnant with our first child. Futuristic much? I know, right.

My kuyas left Manila when I was in 3rd Grade. From then on, I never treated any big brothers anymore.

I received an email from Kuya Reggie. He is already a high ranking US Air Force Military officer. He is now in Iraq and so his younger brother Kuya Ryan who was sent there a month ago.

I am just proud of them.

Wooohooo... :)

Earlier this afternoon, our CEO sent me several messages in Skype. He is now in Paris to attend the most famous trade show in our industry, Cartes.

This is the reason why I love my job amidst other BS circumstances.

[3:23:16 PM] Denny Wong Yiu Chu says: a mastercard guy came to our booth (I got his card but forgot his name) and looked for you.
[3:23:22 PM] Denny Wong Yiu Chu says: we said that you had not come.
[3:23:37 PM] Denny Wong Yiu Chu says: he said: "It is a shame that I could not see her."
[3:24:40 PM] Denny Wong Yiu Chu says: So it is good that you had good communication with him.
[3:53:43 PM] Denny Wong Yiu Chu says: Thank you for linking us with Mastercard. Thank you for the good work.

I knew it was Ainsley who looked for me. I have always been interested in meeting face to face the people I exchange emails with. To my surprise. GWAPO SIYA.

Yun lang. I'm so happy :)

I just received a message from my friends from Venezuela whom I met in Florida last May. They will be coming here too tomorrow. Hence, a busy weekend for me and Chie.

Later,
Bons

MOS Burger

During lazy lunches we just go to this place for a quick cheap meal.

MOS Burger, from the initial letters of "Mountain Ocean Sun", is a fast-food restaurant chain (fast-casual) that originated in Japan. It is now the second-largest fast-food franchise in Japan after McDonald's, and owns numerous overseas outlets over East Asia, including Taiwan, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, and until 2005, Hawaii. It is also the name of the standard hamburger offered by the restaurant, being its first product when the restaurant was founded in 1972.
You can choose any from their burger range.

And then choose which set you want to have.

I like MOS cheeseburger with Matcha for around 42HKD = 300 Pesos.

I wish we have this in Manila. It's about time we have real burgers with real ingredients there you know.
