You are important in my world

I learned that I have a relatively big cyst in my neck a few months ago. I had a biopsy around June and the doctor told me that it's benign. I was very thankful.

I did not mind it for quite sometime because of my trips and work and what have you. When mum would ask me when I want it to be removed, I kept on rescheduling my appointments at Makati Med. I was looking for reasons why I shouldn't go there.

A part of me was afraid of the supposed operation. The biopsy was so painful enough for me to think about a scalpel cutting through my neck.

A few weeks ago, I was chatting with a very good friend and he asked about it.

Friend: "How's your cyst? Have you been to the doctor lately?"
Bons: "Nope. I don't have time"
Friend: "Goodness, you have good health benefits from your company, why don't you have it removed."
Bons: "I guess I'm afraid and I can't find time."
Friend: "Bons, take care of yourself, you are important in my world."

He lives at the other side of the world and still thought of my health condition. I was very touched.

At that moment, I remembered all the people who really care for me and those who love me. I promised myself to find time and go to the doctor and have it checked once again.

Hence, I will be leaving in an hour for Makati Med. Wish me luck.



Mood: Nervous

Not Again

The whole world is against me once again.

I am now thanking all the gods that it has been raining the past days that everything is just melancholic.

(And yes, I love watching the lightning.)

I need to get out.

Being me again

It's 6:20 PM.
I have a very nice view of the horizon from my desk.
I can see as the sun sets behind the thick clouds.

The colors are unbelieveable.
A mix of orange, dark blue and gray.
I wish I had a Canon EOS 20d or a Nikon D80x to capture it.

As I am looking outside, I am listening to Axelle Red's Je t'attends. It's my favorite song since last week. It's French soul and my sister translated the song for me. I really like it.

I know I'm a bit emo lately. There are just a lot of things that happened the past week that made me reevaluate my life. Meeting a lot of wonderful people in a span of 2 weeks will make you rethink of what's happening in your life and realign your priorities.

I know that all of us have a LOT of things in mind but you really have to take some time off to get to know yourself and reevaluate whatever is going on with your life. I believe that it will make you live longer.

I'm 23 and everything is going too fast. I hardly noticed anything. I just graduated less than a year ago but everything is happening in just a blink of an eye.

There are things that I tend to forget because I get so caught up with other things be it less or more important.

Next week I'll be going back to LB. My abode for 4 years where I learned to live on my own and to survive the best way I know how. It is the place where I can just cry behind everybody else's back. It is the place where I could really think. The place where I could enjoy just being alone.

I dunno what to write anymore. I'll just leave the video of one of the most wonderful songs ever.

What Am I Doing?

It's almost 4 AM and I am still wide awake.

Why?

Simple, because I am sick. I got sick due to the changing weather. I cannot breathe right now. I am afraid to sleep because of my dificulty in breathing. I have running nose, dry cough and high fever. Plus, my throat and tonsils are swollen.



I must rest. I will try though.
