Fab Dinner

Last night, Tin and I met up with our good friends from Venezuela, Cesar and his boss, Robert.

We met Cesar and Robert in Orlando last May during the tradeshow.

Tin and I went to Manila Peninsula to meet them. They decided to eat at some posh Italian restaurant called L'Incontro Ristorante Italian.

L'Incontro offers authentic Northern Italian cuisine. The restaurant itself is very Italian. You'd love the look and the feel of furnitures around.

I forgot what I ordered because both were in written Italian. I just took photos.

Salad with freshly cut cheese.

Pasta with smoked pink salmon

I also tried a traditional drink called Sambuca. It is an Italian aniseed -flavored, usually colorless liqueur. In Italy it is common to serve neat Sambuca with some floating coffee beans dropped on it. The beans are there as an ornament, but they can be chewed to exalt the taste of anise.

Cesar roasted the coffee bean by putting flame on top of the shot glass.

Sambuca is commonly brewed to 84 proof. Tin and I just had a sip and a bean for the experience. It was strong.

We had dinner with their colleagues working here in their Manila office.

The food was great but a little pricey. It's nice for dates or special occasions though. If you want authentic Italian then L'Incontro is a must try.

Gorgeous, isn't it?

I have been staring at this picture for over an hour now.

I have a similar dress in gray. Of course I couldn't afford the real bracelet. But what really struck me was the headpiece. Serena looked gorgeous in here.

According to ShopDiary the headpiece was created by Gossip Girl stylists from silver metallic trim or ribbons wound around the head twice and tied at the nape.

I may have the guts to wear the similar thing. I just wish I were as pretty as her.

Mood: day dreaming!

I think...

... somebody else owns this body.

Their bodies all look the same. It is as if just one person owns it. Observe.

Look at the abs.
Look at the shoulder blades.
Look at the biceps
and of course...
Look at the tits. =D

Craving

It's very difficult to find very good Mexican restaurants here in Manila. The most normal one I know is in Robinson's Pioneer called Chily Willy's. I've been there once and the food was great.

When I went to Mexico last May, this was the first authentic taco I had.

It was damn good. I am craving for Tacos El Gordo right now but it's a thousand miles away from here. Shem.

See how rich the guacamole is?

I am also craving for quesadillas.

Nye

Told you, Sam Milby's posters are so gay.

I'm actually bothered why he would pose like that and show his side curve.

Forgive the eye-sore electrical wirings here in the third world.

I miss these

There are so many things I remember about Beijing. Of course, food topped my list. =)

I tasted the following dishes at The Peninsula - Chaoyang Park, Beijing.

Peking Duck

Almond Jello with Bird's Nest

My first decent meal in Beijing was in a Parisian Vietnamese Brasserie called Muse. I visited them twice and their selection was really good. It is located in Chaoyang Gongyuan Xilu, Chaoyang District.

Vietnamese Chicken Stew something

Fresh Spicy Seafood Salad

And, while having dinner at Muse with a friend, we met this wonderful kid. She was friendly with guys and not with me. She's half English and half Taiwanese. What's cute is that, she loves to eat lettuce. Wonderful, isn't it?

Since, we don't have Muse here in Manila, Pho Hoa is my best bet for Vietnamese cuisine.

Try Vietnamese. Promise, you'll forget Menudo and Sinigang. hehehe

Plus, don't forget that I've also tried eating some scorpions, starfish, sea urchins, silk worms and other weird stuff. They have street food - hawker style in Wangfujing. It's a must that you visit this place when you swing by Beijing. It's a one of a kind experience.

Sorry, I forgot that it's lunchtime already. Hehe :)

Not Again

The whole world is against me once again.

I am now thanking all the gods that it has been raining the past days that everything is just melancholic.

(And yes, I love watching the lightning.)

I need to get out.

SOON..

What if.....

... you experienced all of these on your way to the office?

(i) man spitting in the sidewalk
(ii) lesbian sticking her finger up to her nose to get some booger.
(iii) woman in corporate attire smoking while walking and releasing the smoke in YOUR FACE.
(iv) guy with lots of scary tattoos staring at you like you are somewhat a porn goddess

Yes, I saw all of these while traversing my 10 minute routine walk from MRT Shaw to my office.

Will I still have a good morning?

Go figure....
